"You start knocking too." Daniel groaned. "Whenever you say crap like that, we end up with shit in our faces."

Jack rapped his knuckles against the wooden arm rest. "If it hits the fan, on your head it will be."

"Don't remind me." he took a seat at last and relaxed into the fabric. Leaning back and closing his eyes, he dared the screen to turn on. "What do you think they'll come up with next?"

She rolled her eyes at the boys, then she noticed Will. "Who's this? Did you two kidnap some kid off the street to satisfy your insane desires?"

"Domestic protection requiring heavy force." Jack shrugged. "What do I look like, a clairvoyant? We're safe, for now. Just a endless series of exercises for now." Jack half smiled at Freya. "Innocent, here. I don't know about Daniel."

"Dream on. He solved a trap. I'm not going to lie, his life's going to suck. Being stuck at 13 forever? I'd hate it." He chuckled, glad he didn't face that fate.

"Glad I'm only thirty two. Forever." Jack was about to start another sentence when the vid screen flickered on. The shadowed face of a man took up most of the center screen. "Harbingers." The voice rumbled. "We've got a mission."

"Sweet." Freya smiled, "What is it?"

"Ah hell. What now?" He looked to the newbie. "Prepare for your life to go south. Fast."

Jack recoiled in his chair. "Them again? I thought New Eden was their only staging ground?"

"Not today, Harbinger." Despite the shadowed face, the Director was clearly glowering at Jack. "We've got reports that the cult, the 'Lords of Shadow', are active here on Prime. We want you to stop them." The feed cut as the Director finished the sentence, replaced with scrolling lines of text, pictures, and other vital information.
